Avengers: Endgame has been out for about four months now, easily claiming the crown of highest-grossing movie of all time, and even racking up some serious Oscar talk. It’s the kind of once in a generation flick at the peak of the zeitgeist, elevated by the fact that it’s the culmination of over a decade’s worth of MCU films. So, of course, it’s within reason to believe that movie lovers will never stop picking it apart frame-by-frame, discovering all sorts of Easter eggs and fan service hidden within its dense story.
For the past decade, the D23 expo has been hailed as the place where all of the magic of the “past, present, and future of Disney entertainment comes together under one roof.” And if a new rumor is to be believed, this month’s event is exactly where the House of Mouse will announce the forthcoming fifth phase of the MCU, which is slated to have deeper ties to its past franchises.
We’re only three months away from the launch of Disney Plus, and the House of Mouse has amassed quite a catalog of films available to stream from the start. In fact, now that Disney has completely acquired Fox, more than 300 movie titles will be available upon its debut on November 12th. And within a year, that’s expected to grow by 200 more.
Remember The New Mutants, the semi-horror X-Men movie starring up and coming actors from Stranger Things and Game of Thrones that was supposed to be released April of 2018? Don’t worry if you don't remember, because it sounds like its own studio forgot about it, too. Although, according to a new report, their lapse in memory might be on purpose.

Fans have been clamoring to have Jennifer Walters’ alter-ego pop up in the franchise for years now, and if a new rumor is to be believed, it sounds like she might finally get her time in the limelight come Spider-Man 3.
It’s only August and Disney has already released three - count ‘em, three - live-action remakes in theaters this year, and that’s not even counting the Maleficent sequel or The Lady and the Tramp Disney Plus movie heading our way in the latter half of 2019. Love them or hate them, it sounds like the live-action re-imaginings are here to stay, and the House of Mouse seems to be mining every possible IP to bring back to the big screen.
Cut to the two latest Avengers films, where a cloaked figure on the planet Vormir revealed that he is actually Red Skull, forever cursed to watch over the Soul Stone as punishment for his attempted misuse of the tesseract. Now a solemn shell of a his former evil self (and recast with Ross Marquand), Captain America’s arch-nemesis only manages to interact with Thanos, Gamora, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, leaving many fans upset that a reunion with Steve Rogers was only hinted at, and never depicted on screen. Now, Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo have detailed what exactly happened when Cap returned the Soul Stone to Vormir,
We’re only a few months away from the debut of Disney Plus, the House of Mouse’s new streaming service that's set to feature each one of their animated classic movies, most entries in the MCU, and over 600 episodes of The Simpsons. But, for Star Wars fans, one of the biggest draws will be the ability to stream hours upon hours of franchise content, from The Mandalorian to all ten movies - many of which are streaming for the first time anywhere. Yet, for all of those who still prefer aligning the discs on their Blu-ray shelves, a brand new physical re-release is coming to stores next month, with digital copies, too.
